Chai Tea
In India, the word for "tea" is just "chai," so when we say "chai tea" we are repeating ourselves a bit. (But since we quite happily embrace a town in our state called "Walla Walla," we're going to let that slide.) Tea in India is traditionally prepared using loose black tea leaves, simmered with lots of spices, then mixed liberally with milk, with sugar or honey added. It's a sweet, spicy, delicious cup of joy, all based on black tea. Our Chai blend is a chunky mix of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, allspice, cloves, and black peppercorns, jumbled up with black tea, just waiting to release all that pent-up spicy goodness into your pot. We provide instructions to make it "right," but you please yourself. We even know of a customer making Chai Beer, which sounds great to us!
