Marjoram - Ground

Marjoram is a relative of oregano, and has a very similar flavor. It is often called for in Italian and other Mediterranean recipes. Marjoram is thought of as a sweeter, and more delicate, version of oregano. Most chefs prefer to add it toward the end of a dish's preparation, as its flavor doesn't stand up to long durations of simmering. Marjoram is most often found in authentic blends of Herbes de Provence and Za'atar. Google underrated and underappreciated next to the word marjoram, and you will get plenty of hits!
