Chipotle Almonds
Ingredients
2-1/2 cups whole almonds
1/4 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons chipotle salt
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
Preparation
1. Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet and toast them for about 10 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and aromatic. Keep a close eye on them while baking, as they can burn easily.

In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and chipotle salt, then set aside.
3. Step 3
In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the water, honey, and olive oil. Once the mixture starts to bubble, add the toasted almonds, stirring until they are evenly coated. Transfer the almonds to the sugar and spice mixture, tossing until well coated. Spread them in a single layer on baking sheets and allow to cool to room temperature.
