Garlic Powder
What's a poor web author to do? What can be said about garlic powder? You know you need it. You know it goes in everything. You know it makes everything... better. Except maybe ice cream. Though now that I have said that, garlic powder ice cream will probably be the next big thing. No doubt on TikTok. I've even seen garlic poptarts. That's a.... thing.
If you are following a recipe, it's probably going to call for chopped fresh garlic. If it doesn't, the dish is probably going to be boring. Assume it's missing because of a typo. Just know that you can avoid the smell of garlic on your fingers by wearing gloves when you chop the fresh garlic... or by replacing it with garlic powder in the recipe. Sneaky, but effective. And nobody will notice, because it's the flavor that counts, and our garlic powder packs all the garlic flavor you need. Try it.
And while you are in the kitchen, try adding a little garlic powder and ground mustard to your mac and cheese roux, right before the cheese. (Please tell me you use a roux to make your mac and cheese.) That garlic and mustard will take your HMM&C (HomeMadeMac&Cheese, of course) over the top.
3 oz, in a resealable zipper bag.
But use all 3 oz in your dish. Can't have too much garlic, right?
