Ras el Hanout

Ras el Hanout is an exciting and vibrant spice blend found in Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria. Its name translates literally as "Head of Shop" but more figuratively means "Top Shelf." Its exact recipe can include up to 30 ingredients, varies from region to region, and some say from house to house! Our blend features a modest 12 ingredients, including "sweet" spices like nutmeg, ginger and cloves, and more "savory" spices like cumin, turmeric, and coriander. A little cayenne pepper gives the blend a gentle heat, but one that is not overpowering. We have made ours a No-Salt blend, so you can control how much salt to add!
