Adobo Turkey Chili


2 Tbsp olive oil

1/2 yellow onion, chopped

1 large carrot, chopped

1 lb ground turkey

1 cup water

1 can black turtle beans (or regular black beans)

1 can diced tomatoes

1/2 tsp salt, to taste

2 Tbsp Inland Empire Spice Adobo Seasoning

Black Pepper and Chipotle Powder to taste


Heat olive oil in a large pot or dutch oven over medium heat.

Add in onion and carrots. Sauté about 2-3 minutes.

Add Adobo seasoning and Sauté another minute to coat the veggies.

Add ground turkey and cook, stirring occasionally until no longer pink.

Drain beans, and add to the pot.

Add tomatoes and water.

Stir to combine, and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer until carrots are soft.

Adjust seasoning, adding salt, pepper, and possibly chipotle powder, to taste.
